Cell Transplantation and Assessment Core
Cell Transplantation and Assessment Core » Overview
The Core services the BCBC community by assessing the function of transplanted human progenitor cells to secrete insulin in vitro and in vivo in response to glucose and to restore normoglycemia in hyperglycemic immunodeficient mice. The Core will also perform research and development activities in an effort to develop standardized assessment procedures that will provide quantifiable metrics for transplanted “beta-like” cells.
