| Description: | This mouse ES cell line contains a loxed cassette acceptor (LCA) allele that may be utilized for the exchange of DNAs of interest into the Foxo1 gene locus by recombinase mediated cassette exchange (RMCE). A 5 kb region of the gene was replaced by tandemly oriented lox 71 and lox2272 sites flanking both positive and negative selectable markers. |

| Description: | By homologous recombination in mESCs a 4.999 kb region of the Foxo1 gene was replaced by a lox71 site, a puromycin-delta-thymidine kinase fusion gene driven by the mouse phosphoglycerol kinase promoter, a neomycin resistant gene driven by the bacterial EM7 promoter (EM7neo), and a lox2272 site. Together, these features constitute a LCA allele. |
