BCBC Resources

Resources generated by the BCBC are made available on this website, as categorized below:

Reagent Resources Collections

Antibody Collection Antibody Collection

The Antibody Collection is available not only to BCBC investigators, but to the international research community at large, at various levels of access. The BCBC will produce and maintain a list of available antibodies, and will rate the usefulness of the antibodies requested within the Consortium. Antibodies produced by the BCBC Antibody Core as well as commercial antibodies are listed. Custom requests can be made to the BCBC Antibody Core. Lastly, all website visitors can maintain their own private collection composed at their discretion.

Adenovirus Collection Adenovirus Collection

The BCBC Adenovirus Collection is a repository of replication-deficient recombinant adenoviruses made and/or accumulated and maintained by the laboratory of Dr. Chris Newgard at the Sarah W. Stedman Nutrition and Metabolism Center, Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. The repository is accessible through this searchable database, created and maintained by the BCBC Coordinating Center, and through which individual viruses may be requested. Upon request, the user will receive an aliquot of viral stock that may be used for further amplification in HEK293 cells. HEK293 cells are available though the ATCC, or from the investigator's own institutional tissue culture core facility, if available.

Mouse Embryonic Stem Cell Line Collection Mouse Embryonic Stem Cell Line Collection

The BCBC Embryonic Stem Cell (ESC) Line Information Resource is an information management system that features the collection and dissemination of information on mESC Lines that are useful for beta cell and/or pancreatic development research. The goal of this information resource is to promote sharing these cells in an effort to facilitate collaborations by sharing reagents such as these. All website visitors can maintain their own private collection composed at their discretion.

Mouse Strain Collection Mouse Strain Collection

The BCBC Mouse Collection is an information management system that allows for the collection and dissemination of information on modified mouse strains that are useful for beta cell and/or pancreatic development research. All website visitors can maintain their own private collection composed at their discretion.

Data Resources

BCBC Genomics Expression Studies

The genomics section contains detailed information about genes, mRNA expression studies, and ChIP studies.

Protocols Protocols

Protocols generated by the BCBC or relevant to the beta cell biology research.

Research Data Research Data

Research data and information for in-progress research projects.

TRAFEX TRAFEX

TRAFEX is a searchable database of gene expression data. To begin using TRAFEX, scroll down to the the three search options: Predefined Search, Simple Search, and Complex Search. All settings are saved as you navigate from one search option to another.
