Foxo1.DBD - Mouse Strain RES1701

Mouse Information

Common Name: Foxo1.DBD
MGI Official Name: Foxo1tm1(DBD)Dac
Description:

This line contains a DNA binding-deficient mutant of Foxo1.  The mutation may be useful for assessing the contribution of DNA co-activation in the function of Foxo1.

Categories: None specified.

Description of Targeting Vector Not provided
Targeting Vector Genbank File pFoxo1.LCA.gb
Recombinase-Mediated Cassette Exchange Stage
Type of Allele: Gene Replacement
Exchanged Cassette Gene Not provided.
Exchanged Cassette Allele Name Foxo1DBD
Description of Exchange Vector

A loxed cassette acceptor allele for Foxo1 was generated using a targeting vector that contains a lox71 site, a puromycin (delta)thymidine kinase fusion gene driven by a mouse phosphoglycerol kinase (PGK) promoter, a neomycin resistant gene driven by the bacterial EM7 promoter (EM7neo), and a lox2272 site. A 4.999 kb region of the Foxo1 gene containing exon 1 was removed in the process of gene targeting.
