Donald Scott, PhD - Co-investigator Profile
Dr. Scott is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, with a joint appointment in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. The research focus of Dr. Scott’s group is the nutritional regulation of cellular phenotype. His lab works on molecular mechanisms that coordinate how nutrients alter the regulation and expression of genes to change the phenotype of cells. The current focus of is work includes the roles that the glucose-sensing transcription factors ChREBP and c-Myc play in the regulation of beta cell and liver biology. |
