The specific aims of my projects are to:
* Generate monoclonal antibodies directed against cell surface markers expressed by endoderm and/or endocrine cells at different stages of development.
* Characterize the tissue distribution, cell specificity and nature of antigens defined by endocrine-specific monoclonal antibodies
Specifically I am doing target validation on the developing and adult pancreas and on differentiated ES cells and cell lines to find and validate targets that can be used for generating monoclonal antibodies.
